The Group hosted the monthly Coffee Morning in the Parish Room on Saturday 3 August, since as a Group, we don’t meet in August. Thanks go out to those who helped in any way and for those who contributed cakes and raffle prizes, those who assisted in the kitchen and to all those who attended. Thanks too, to Christine W. who brought along many items of her handicrafts to be sold, with all proceeds going to the Church Fund.
Just a reminder of our next meeting to be held in the Parish Room on Wednesday 4 September, when Anna-Louise Pickering will be making a return visit to speak to us on the subject of ‘Giant Pandas and Sleeping Dragons’. It should be a good night so please invite your family and friends. Any menfolk will also be very welcome. Anna-Louise the daughter of the late Pollyanna, the renowned environmentalist, is committed to continuing the work of the Pollyanna Pickering Foundation by raising funds for world-wide conservation.
Anyone interested in joining the Newbold Women’s Group or wanting to know more, please feel free to speak to Trish, Marilyn J. or myself.
