The Group had a Summer Break in August but will be meeting again on Wednesday 2 September 2026 at 7pm, probably in the Church. Our speaker will be Anna-Louise Pickering talking to us about ‘The Art of Saving Lions’. For those of you who have not heard her speak before, she is very interesting to listen to, and passionate about following in the footsteps of her mother, Pollyanna, the late renowned environmentalist. She is also committed to continuing to raise funds for world-wide conservation. It should be another enlightening evening so please feel free to invite family and/or friends.
The charge for the evening will be £3 to cover speaker costs, and room hire. Refreshments of tea/coffee and biscuits and a raffle ticket are included. If you wish to know more do have a word with Trish, Marilyn J. or myself.
For those of you who came along to the May meeting to hear John Bown speak to us about his life as a former policeman and Chesterfield Street Pastor, some might not be aware that he sadly passed away recently. I am sure, like me, that you would wish to hold his family in your prayers at this sad time.
