We hope to be able to offer weddings once again from October 2020. However, there are a number of regulations, some of which you can read about here:
Marriage in church is about inviting God to be part of your marriage and to bless it!
Marriage in church contains both legal and spiritual elements. The Bible tells us that: God is love, and those who live in love live in God and God lives in them.
This is what we want for all those who come to get married at Newbold Parish Church!
The Rector will also need to make sure that you can get married in church. Here are some of the questions you will be asked…
- Do you live in the parish?
- Do you have the right identification?
- Have you been married before?
Don’t worry if you’re not sure! The Rector will be able to help you find out exactly what is needed, and guide you through the process, step by step.
However, you can also find up to date information about Church of England weddings: everything from legalities, to hymn suggestions, to planning your big day by visiting:
Information leaflets about Wedding arrangements are available in church. Alternatively you can contact our Rector, Ben, directly via email: firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 01246 450374
