At the beginning of November, a good number of ladies met and enjoyed our annual meal out at Chesterfield Golf Club, our second year of eating there.
The December meeting, Dec 6 at 7pm in the Parish Room, will take the form of a Christmas Celebration. We will have readings both religious and humorous, and the singing of Carols, to be followed by Christmas food, and goodies and, some seasonal refreshments will be available. It’s the occasion too when we exchange our ‘Secret Santa’ gifts.
Looking ahead to 2024, the speaker in January will be Jim Dickinson, talking about ‘The History and his Career with Old Maps’.
For those of you who haven’t yet been able to join us, it would be great to see some new faces. We meet on the first Wednesday evening of the month from 7pm to about 9pm in the Parish Room. Cost is £3 each time to include a raffle ticket and refreshments – non-alcoholic! Do speak to Trish, Marilyn J., or myself if you wish to know more. You could also invite your friends along to see how we function.
Until then, the Committee and myself, would like to take this opportunity to wish all our members and others, a Very Happy, Peaceful and Healthy Christmas and New Year.
