Notices
- Picnic and Quiz -Tickets available for children’s treasure hunt and adults quiz on Saturday 25thJuly 4 to 6 pm. Children £3 adults £4 family ticket £12.
- Confirmation service in August– Confirmation is a service in which those baptized, often as babies, choose for themselves to follow the Christian faith. While all who are baptised are welcome to receive Holy Communion here at St John’s, we still see confirmation as an important step in a person’s faith journey. Candidates stand before the bishop to confirm the promises made at their baptism, who lays hands on them in prayer for the Holy Spirit’s strength. If you’re interested in being confirmed or would like to know more, do speak to Rev Rhoda, Rev Malcolm or Rev Rebecca — we’d love to hear from you.
- Prayer Cards – On the table at the back of church there are a number of prayer cards relating to different matters. Please have a look at them and take whichever you are interested in.
- Candles – At the North Isle near to the door leading to the Parish Room there is the opportunity to light a candle. This may be in remembrance of someone, a birthday or anniversary etc. A donation is welcome and we do not ask for a fixed amount to donate. You may wish to sit nearby and pray as well.
- Messy Church – While you are socialising together in the Parish Room during refreshment’s please take the opportunity to take a look at the Messy Church notice board and see what we are doing during our time together on the first Sunday each month in church at 4.00 pm.
- Wine Water Bread – After the peace we take the elements to the altar. If anyone would like to be part of this please see Richard or Wendy. It might be for a birthday, special anniversary or in memory of someone that you would like to remember.
- Prayer List – Please let Richard know if you would like a person putting on our sick prayer list. You must get the persons permission for us to add them to the list, thank you.
- Notice Board – If you have the opportunity please read the notices on the main notice board in the entrance to church.
