At our April meeting we were pleased to welcome Alva de Chiro, who entertained us with a humorous account of “Keeping Up Appearances – Italian Style”. This included her experiences when she went to meet her husband’s family as the young wife of an Italian and we heard interesting details of the different customs there. Alva donates all proceeds from her talks to Ashgate Hospice and the group gave a donation.
For our next meeting, at 7pm in the Parish Room on Wednesday 4th May, Chris Barnes will be giving us an illustrated talk about Youthscape, a charity project, which involved purchasing and converting an old flour mill in Luton into a Youth Centre.
Everybody welcome and please bring along anyone wanting to give us a try.
Please contact me with any queries or suggestions.
