At our meeting, held in the church on 6th October, member Yvonne Townsend gave an interesting illustrated talk on Australia, where she has visited several times.
It transported us to sunny places and we saw several of the popular tourist areas, including Sydney and Uluru Rock. We were also taken to less well-known spots, including wildlife parks, Broken Hill and Coober Pedy, famous for opal mining.
On Wednesday, 3rd November at 7pm, we are booked to go to The Peacock, Cutthorpe, for our annual meal out, when we hope to see many of our members and to enjoy the chance of being together again.
