NEWBOLD WOMEN’S GROUP QUIZ
The Women’s Group had a very enjoyable meeting on January 4th when Stuart Watkinson presented us with his “Believe It Or Not Quiz”.
In spite of many answers being multiple choice none of us scored very highly but we were all rewarded for our efforts by receiving a brand new pencil complete with rubber on the end! There were many groans and gasps when the answers were revealed but no one worked out that the answer to an algebra sum was a limerick! We also welcomed a new member who has recently moved to Littlemoor and who had been given information about our group from Newbold Library so a big thank you to Rachel Laban and her team.
Our next meeting is on Wednesday 8th February at 7pm in the Parish Room when Margaret Amour will demonstrate how to make hessian figures and accessories and will have some for sale afterwards.
Our annual AGM will take place on Wednesday 1st March when members will be given our programme of events for the coming year. This will be followed by cheese and wine. All ladies are welcome. Jean Lee
