Mother’s Union
Ten members of Newbold M.U. enjoyed scones with cream and strawberries in Ruth’s house on Wednesday July 8th. Unfortunately, after all the warm weather last week, it was a chilly afternoon, so the garden could not be used.
Anne Harley gave out notices about the proposed joint Deanery meeting with Bolsover on Tuesday October 27th. This would be in Calow Church Hall from 10 – 3pm, commencing with a Eucharist in the church.
Members were reminded that there is no meeting in August as the committee get together to plan next year’s meetings. September 9th will be our AGM and Fr. Nigel will preside over Mass in the Lady Chapel, at 2pm, to start with.
Lots of tea and chat followed the business. The raffle was won by Anne Hartley and members departed at 4pm.
