Mothers’ UNION
Christian Care for families
Eleven members and four guests gathered in St. John’s Church to hear Stuart Watkinson give us a selection of music on the organ. We then had tea and cake in the Parish Room.
Members were reminded of the service at Wingerworth that evening.
The meeting on 8th July will be at Ruth’s house, in the garden if the weather is warm, where we will hold our annual strawberry tea from 2 – 4pm.
Festival Service – 10th June 7pm
Five M.U. members from Newbold attended this service at All Saints Church, Wingerworth. Our banner was paraded, along with six others. Mrs. Ruth Smart, the Branch Leader from Wingerworth, had organised the service and members from several branches attended. We were pleased to see Fr. Keith Cocking, our former curate, from Buxton, supporting the Buxton M.U. Branch. He is still very slim and he still likes chocolate biscuits!
