Our speaker last month was local author, Gaynor Walker, who brought along copies of books she had written, and talked of her self-publishing.
She spoke about her early life before joining an ALPHA course on her way to becoming a Christian, and her wish to start writing fiction.
After the publication of a couple of books, she went on to complete a trilogy based on Paul’s missionary journeys. Whilst listening to extracts from these books we were helped along the way with a number of printed maps, and photos which helped the stories fall into place.
She was very informative as well as being easy to listen to and welcomed questions from the group as she went along, so an enjoyable evening was had by all.
Our next meeting will be held on Wednesday 4 March at 7pm in the Parish Room when we shall be having our AGM followed by Cheese and Wine refreshments. An outline of the following year’s programme should also be available.
