Following a visit to Cromford Mills on Wednesday 25 June, the group had a summer break in August. So, our next meeting will take place on Wednesday 3rd September at 7pm in the Parish Room, when we look forward to having a further visit from Anna-Louise Pickering.
For those of you not familiar with Anna-Louise, she is the daughter of the late Pollyanna Pickering the renowned local environmentalist and, she is committed to continuing the work of the Pollyanna Pickering Foundation by raising funds for world-wide conservation. Her talk on this occasion is to be ‘The Kingdom of the Jaguar.’ She, herself, is a writer and photographer and always has some great pictures to show, as well as bringing along various items to sell on the night.
The evening is open to both ladies, men and their families, so do put the date in your diaries. The cost for the evening will be £3 to include tea/coffee, and biscuits and, a ticket for a raffle prize. If you wish to know more do speak to Trish, Marilyn J. or myself, and we will look forward to welcoming you on the night.
