The group met for the ‘Annual Meal Out’ at Chesterfield Golf Club on Wednesday 6 November when 20+ ladies were present. Having previously visited in the evening, we were unaware of the pleasing view from the window looking down onto part of the green.
Our next meeting will take place on Wednesday 4 December in the Parish Room, when we shall be having our Christmas Celebration. Starting with our own Carol Service of readings and carols, this will be followed by a party with food prepared and brought along by members to be shared by all. We won’t be having a visit from Santa but instead, all
ladies will be bringing along a wrapped present to be given out in a ‘Secret Santa’ type draw.
The New Year meeting, in theory, would be scheduled for Wednesday 1st January 2025 which we have decided to skip this time round, for obvious reasons. So, we shall next be meeting on Wednesday 5 February, when a speaker from ‘Aquabox’ will be giving us a rundown on how the company provides clean water and humanitarian aid in times of crisis.
