The December meeting was our Christmas celebration.
This included our own carol service, which was ably accompanied by Anne Peacey on her keyboard, plus the traditional Bible readings of the Christmas story.
Everyone had brought refreshment items and a delicious spread was then enjoyed.
A Christmas themed quiz followed, the winning team being Jean and Wendy.
Finally, a raffle decided the order for each member present to receive a wrapped gift, having been donated individually. Altogether a very enjoyable evening.
Our next meeting is on Wednesday, 4th January 2023, at 7pm in St John’s Parish Room, when solicitor Liz Garratt will give a talk on the important matters of Wills & Probate, plus Power of Attorney, advice which should help us to ensure that our wishes concerning our finance and health are carried out when necessary.
