Mother’s Union Meeting February 2016
Mrs. Ruth Cable welcomed four members to the February meeting in the Parish Room. A special welcome was given to Mrs. Annette Angus, who has recently moved into our area, from Scotland.
Apologies had been received from seven members.
Mrs. Anne Hartley and Mrs. Ruth Cable led the prayers, remembering those of our branch who are unwell at present. We concluded our prayers by all joining in with the M.U. Prayer.
Unfortunately, our speaker failed to arrive, so we had social time and tea and biscuits were served and the raffle drawn.
Members were reminded of future M.U. events.
Women’s World day of Prayer Service on Friday 4th March – 1.30pm at Whittington Moor Methodist Church.
Lady Day Service on Monday 4th April – 2.30pm at St. Peter’s Church, Calow.
Our next meeting on 13th April at 2pm will be a Recital of Spring Music by Stuart Watkinson in church.
