At our May meeting, following prayers and business in the parish room, members and guests went into the church to hear Stuart Watkinson, our organist, give a recital to demonstrate the range of our new organ. A most pleasant hour followed and the music was quite enchanting and showed off our organ to perfection.
Stuart was warmly thanked by Ruth Cable and £40 was raised for the Organ Fund. Tea and biscuits were then served in the parish room and everyone enjoyed chatting and exchanging news.
The outing on 12th June to St. Peter’s Church, Edensor on the Chatsworth estate, for a guided tour and tea at the old Post Office, is now fully booked up.
A very pleasant afternoon concluded at 4pm.
