Member’s met at Ruth’s home on Wednesday December 12th
for sherry and mince pies. Christmas cards and greetings were exchanged and a list made for those who wished to attend the January lunch , at the Hackney House Tea Rooms , Barlow. Menus were given out , so that members could make their choices of food, there being no further meeting beforehand.

Ten members and Fr.Keith braved a very cold and foggy morning to enjoy lunch at the Hackney House Tea Rooms , Barlow. This was a week later than our usual meeting date, as the kitchens in the restautant were being renovated. The wait was well worth it as the meal was excellent and the puddings “ to die for “. The ladies enjoyed a pleasant two hours and everyone was safely home before it became too cold.
The February meeting will be in the Parish room on 13th at 2pm, when our speaker will be Rev. Dr. aJocelyn Lewis, the former vicar of Old Whittington.
