Priest-in-charge : January 1997 – May 1998
Graham Friend came to Newbold after a long interregnum and at a difficult time when parishes were combining and, as Barlow and Newbold parishes were then destined to combine (which never happened), and Barlow Vicarage was vacant, he lived there. In any case, at this time, work was being undertaken on Newbold Rectory to refurbish the building and to reduce it in size.
