  • Readers & Intercessors Rota – If anybody would like to join the rota for Intercessions & Readings please talk to Rhoda, Malcolm or Steve Franks.
  • Christian Aid Week – St. Andrew’s UR Church, Newbold Road are hosting a Tea & Cakes Afternoon on Saturday 17th May 2-4pm. All money raised is for the Christian Aid Society. Everyone is very welcome.
  • Do you think you might like to do a course to deepen your faith or develop some skills – Derby Diocese does a programme of courses open to anybody. For example, the three introductory modules are:

Everyday Faith. What is God calling you to do in your life at this time, in this day? This module seeks to help you determine that and give you support as you live out our faith in the world and the church everyday

Opening up the bible. Studying the bible is a lifelong journey. This module seeks to develop your understanding of scripture with help from biblical teachers around the world, notably evangelical teacher and scholar Tom Wright and gospel specialist Paula Gooder.

Pastoral Care for Everyone. We all offer some kind of pastoral care in our lives of faith. The module seeks to help you identify the many different types of pastoral care, which ones you are using in your life and how to develop them.

Details of these and other courses are available online https://www.discipleship-training.org/about, or have a chat with Malcolm or Rhoda.

  • Celtic service of reflective evening prayer Sunday 18th May at 4pm. Please note we are canvassing opinions on the time for this service. Would you prefer 4pm, 5pm or 6pm? Please let Malcom or Rhoda know.
  • Intercessions – Please let Richard know if there is anyone we need to pray for in our time of intercessions. Remember to get permission from the person before we are allowed to pray for them.

Notices should be given to Steve Franks by Thursday midday each week, please, or emailed to sjfranks@talk21.com
