Summer is finally here bringing glorious long light filled days, the birds are waking us with a chirpy dawn chorus, flowers are dazzling us with cascades of colour and the Great British public look forward to fun filled days out! And what could be more British than the good old Church Summer Fete, with cups of tea and a slice of cake on the rectors lawn, kids having a ball on the Bouncy Castle, prizes aplenty on the tombola, rumbling through the jumble on the bargain basement stall…… young and old all having a jolly good time!
Here at Newbold Parish Church we will be hosting our annual Summer Fete on Saturday 1st July with gates opening at 2pm. Fun for all ages is guaranteed with lots of stalls offering fun & games, plus loads of wonderful plants for sale and a well stocked book stall. Try your luck and win top prizes with our raffle, or if you’re feeling lucky, have a go on the tombola. Loads more stalls will be available including crafts, animal (teddies) auction and handbags and jewelry to name just a few.
If you’re feeling a bit peckish then why not treat yourself to a bite to eat…hot and cold food and drinks available including hot dogs or coffee and cake in the Eagle Club, plus loads of home made cakes and goodies to eat or take away!
Make a date in your diary and we look forward to seeing you there!
