What is the 11 o’clock service like?
Our 11 o’clock service is an all-age service, and these can take many forms. However, here at Newbold Parish Church, our all-age services are a chance to worship together in a more informal way.
When does it happen?
Our 11 o’clock service takes place on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month (dates below).
We aim to make our 11 o’clock service ‘interactive’. This means that the congregation has the opportunity to get involved with the Bible readings we look at and these may be experienced in multi-media. The prayers might include a multi-sensory element, and the talk may invite some creative responses. The music is a mixture of old and new songs, and the occasional hymn.
We also meet afterwards for refreshments, with the children encouraged to have a go at various crafts based on our theme.
How long is it?
We aim for each service to be no longer than 45 minutes.
Who is it for?
Anyone who likes the sound of it really!
When is it?
2017 Dates – 13th August, 10th September, 24th September, 8th October, 22nd October, 12th November, 26th November, 10th December. Christmas services TBC
Jigsaw is the name of our Children’s activity sessions which take place in the Parish Room (behind church) from 9.15am on 1st & 3rd Sunday each month during term time. The children look at the Bible, create crafts, pray, and have fun! They join in with the main service during communion, and regularly produce work which is displayed in Church.
