Twelve members of Newbold Mothers’ Union met in the parish room for sherry and mince pies, tea/coffee and Christmas cake. This event was moved from Ruth’s home, so no roaring log fire this year.
M.U. magazines were distributed and a letter from Doreen Hurst’s daughter Norma Jex was read out. Doreen is settled in Hasland now and takes part in the activities she can manage. She has sent
Christmas greetings to everyone, through Norma.
Members were reminded of the January meeting (weather permitting!) in the parish room, 2pm on 8th, when photos of members as small children will be on display.
According to the M.U. rules all subscriptions for the coming year need to be paid no later than the January meeting otherwise membership is void. The subscription amount is £19.50 and payable to the Treasurer, Miss Margaret Beasley.
We wish all our members a happy Christmas and a healthy New Year and look forward to seeing you all in January.
